> First thing Friday morning, I saw the William Shatner and Leonard Nemoy panel. I got in line at 7:45, when the event started at ten. They were hilarious, with Leonard calling Bill a dickhead, then asking, "Seen any good movies lately, Bill?" To which he naturally responded over and over again, "WHY WASN'T I IN THE MOVIE?"
>Met, got a signed album from, and took a picture with Voltaire. Very good-looking man, that one.
>Bummed a cigarette with Doc Hammer. Didn't fully recognize him at first, we had one of those, "Hey, I think I recognize you." "Oh? Maybe we went to school together." "Where'd you go to school?" "Conneticut." "Oh. Nope. You know, you look like Doc Hammer." "I am Doc Hammer." "Oh." Yes, and he was a fantastic human being.
>Went to the fetlife meetup- great success, by the way. Varied amounts of kinky, interesting people. Glad I went.
>Apparently made out with a chick at the bar whilst completely shitfaced. Now I've done that, I don't think I'll be tempted to do that again.
>Won a draft of Magic. Not especially bragging, as the competetion was not-so-much. I won 16 packs, but I was pissed, because the prize was supposed to be 8 packs and the ability to play in the Championship draft. Whatever, a win is a win is a win.
>Bought my first corset! It's fabulous, too! Black waist-cincher.
>Bought a Black Lantern T-shirt, and a Blue Lantern T-Shirt.
>Got to hang out with Alec and Ellis and Nicole a lot.
>Lost my wallet. This isn't awesome. We spent the night looking for it, and came up with nothing. The next morning (I saw morning, but it was pushing 4:30. Which I suppose is morning in Con-time.) I checked the lost and found, and someone had turned it in! I don't even care that they stole 60 bucks.
>Marched in the parade with the toy soldiers. There were only four of us, but it was still pretty neat.
>Had a successful invasion with the toy soldiers. (This time there were about 30 of us.) We propagandized the DragonCon population and looked damn spiffy doing it.
>Saw Doc walking through the lobby of the Hilton and called out, "Hey, Doc!" He saw me, said hey. I asked him if he had a light, then we went outside and smoked another cigarette (he lit mine for me like a gentleman) and talked about Project Runway, and Marvel vs. DC, and a bunch of other really cool things. I didn't ask him for a picture or an autograph, because that was enough. It was magical, and probably the best memory I'll have of this DragonCon.
>Went to the Mad Scientists' ball. Saw Archetype playing some awesomeness on their Tesla Coils. They encored with the theme from Dr. Who. It was glorious.
Alright, may edit later, but I'm still nursing a bit of a hangover, so I'm going to go back to sleep.
