Spent time at tab's this week - she's recovering from gastric bypass but she didn't need a ton of help around the house or anything. Giger is glad we're home now.

Summer means farmers markets, rodent death due to heat exhaustion and drag shows apparently.

We have plans to vacation in Savannah in a few weeks. This week we'll stay with mom and help around the house while she recovers from surgery.

Work has busy in the past week, but I've done lots of plant chores. Not many photos taken, but here is the first new leaf on my philodendron micans.

I didn't always love summer. It was always stifilingly hot, and I was stuck at home a lot when I was in school. Adult summer is so much more free, alive and magical.

Have been to some parties, been on some hikes and done some gardening. The wet air is so familiar it's pleasant, and I know the roar of insect sounds is only warming up. I hope it's a good summer.
